The Wooden LED clock is a marvel of simplistic design. Until you plug it in, it looks like a pretty carved piece of wood. Power it up, and the time glows from inside. Find out more at ThinkGeek. Have Fun!

Working hard on graphics for amivectio. Here are a few on the rough studies and references on my table. You’ll recognize some of these once the Spring 2009 Collection is revealed.

Last week we spent the day doing a photo shoot at Long Branch Beach in NJ. I was pleased to see several Surfrider Foundation stickers, as well as a very clean beach. I wonder if the good fellas at Surfrider Foundation had anything to do with the beach being so clean?…

Ken Ashley

Name: Ken Ashley

What do you currently do for a living? VP of Sales for Time Warner Cable in Columbus, Ohio.

Where are you originally from? A very small town in northwest Ohio called Celina. While still a small town boy at heart, I have traveled extensively and lived all over.

How would you describe your style? Work harder and play hardest. I am consumed with work and career, but take time to enjoy what would otherwise be a short and boring life.

What inspires you in your daily pursuit of Life? Regardless of how tough it may seem, I know and appreciate that there a number of people out there that work a lot harder than I do for a lot less. And, of significant import, I keep strong hold of where I came from and value my humble beginnings.

How do you feel about the environment? While I am not an alarmist, I feel great concern for our environment. What I notice most and more than ever before are the distinct changes and unpredictability of the weather. I am also concerned that we are facing such a depletion of fossil fools that we’ll have to start tapping into oil that is located in previously untapped and pristine regions (e.g. Alaska).

Do you prefer shopping online or in person? Whew, that’s a tough one. While I enjoy both, I am a tactile person, so I would have to say “in person”.

Do you believe in extraterrestrials? I find it hard to believe that we’re it. So, yes. My opinion may be confirmed with ice discovered on Mars. We’ll see.

What books are you currently reading? You caught me in an in between period. I finished Cormac McCarthy’s, “The Road”, last weekend. I plan to pickup David Sedaris’ latest soon. I seem to always be rereading anything by Kahlil Gibran.

What’s your favorite sound of nature? Of all time, wolf howling at night (when I lived in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho). Also, there’s something about the peaceful quality of being able to hear hummingbird wings.

What does success mean to you? Success is so relative. I feel that I am successful now, but ambition continues to hammer away at my senses. Overall, knowing that I am able to provide a quality of life for me and my wife that allows us to be healthy, travel and to have fun.
